Tour comment on the dowelling jigs at the end of the show brings a couple of things to mind. The Aluminium (black) version of the Jess-em is the winner, at least because it easier to read the white on black. Bothe DowelMax and Jess-em are Canadian products. The Jess-em is from Nove Scotia and the DowelMax HQ is about a 10 minute drive from my home here in BC (I pick up up parts at the office). The Dowel Max is a great unit for specific things but steep learning curve. The Jess-em is just intuitive off the bat and dead simple to use, and get right.
