Hi. This is my first comment. I started listening to the podcast a few weeks ago and decided to listen to all episodes in sequence (I am on episode 58 today). At the current rate, I should catch up by the end of the calendar year. I am truly enjoying learning from Marc and Matt (Vanderlist) your guests and contributors.
Hi. This is my first comment. I started listening to the podcast a few weeks ago and due to a slight OCD tendency, decided to listen to all episodes in sequence (I am on episode 58 today). At the current rate, I should catch up by the end of the calendar year. I am truly enjoying the podcasts and learning from Marc and Matt (Vanderlist) as well as your guests and contributors. a recent woodworker, I am a French national who lives in Ohio (Atwood lake). Cheers.
I have the Dewalt 735 and I do use both speeds. I have upgraded to the helical head as well. I use the faster speed most of the time. I use the lower feed rate for two purposes, final pass for a little bit better surface finish or in really wide or tough wood (hickory) to take little more thickness per pass without killing the planer.
